Department of Pedodontics

The Department of Pedodontics covers oral and dental health, the development of teeth and hereditary disorders, and the treatment and follow-up of individuals with special needs from infancy through childhood and adolescence. Students will receive the title of specialist pedodontist after completing their dentistry education, as well as practical and theoretical education and a doctorate in the Department of Pedodontics.

Within the scope of the Pedodontics Department;

  • Behavior orientation techniques in children,
  • Preventive dentistry practices,
  • Caries that may occur in milk teeth and permanent teeth,
  • Traumatic dental injuries,
  • Developmental disorders of teeth and surrounding tissues,
  • Restorative or prosthetic comprehensive treatment of primary and permanent teeth,
  • Preventive orthodontic applications,
  • Dentistry practices under sedation and general anesthesia
