Anesthesia Program

Recently, Health and Health Services has increasingly become important and  there appeared a need for intermediate professionals trained changing and developing medical in the field of anaesthesia and reanimation.

The Anaesthesia Program aims to train Anaesthesia Technicians who can; prepare patients before surgery in anaesthesia and reanimation units of health institutions and organizations; prepare and use necessary equipment for anaesthesia applications; monitor and keep records of vital functions during medical applications; have knowledge and skill to fulfill professional liability and duties fittingly to the legal framework and codes of conduct in the team when there are anaesthesia applications in a special type of patient and operations; develop and update their field related skills and competence.
Besides developed anaesthesia machines and different anaesthesia techniques, students are also trained in sterilization and urgent patient care. In the first year of education in the Anaesthesia Program, there are basic courses such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical terminology, system diseases. In the second year, theoretical and practical courses such as anaesthesia applications, clinical anaesthesia, reanimation, first aid, post-operative care, anaesthetic pharmacology are taught.

Students who finish the Anaesthesia Program earn the title of " Anaesthesia Technician".

Graduates of the Anaesthesia Program can work in; public and private institutions, Foundation University Hospitals, and various surgical outpatient clinics. In addition, students who graduate from this program can continue their undergraduate programs if they pass Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
