PROGRAM DEFINITION 

The Public Law Master’s Program covers fields of specialization in public law, criminal law in particular. This program was designed with the globalization of the world, and therefore the globalization of the law, taken into account and especially concentrates on human rights laws as progress in this field is a common cause the world over.  Furthermore, newly emerging branches of law, such as information technology law, are an area of focus and to this end, foreign language knowledge is key. In the Bahçeşehir University Public Law Master’s Program, classes and seminars are given by international faculty members including instructors from the Harvard Kennedy School and this paves the way for students to orient themselves to a globalized legal system.  For students who choose to continue their studies abroad, there are various doctoral scholarships available.  Every year, four doctoral students from the BAU public law program receive scholarships to attend the Max-Planck Institute in Germany as part of an agreement between the two institutions.  Moreover, as part of the agreements with various universities in America, students enrolled in the LLM program qualify to take the U.S. bar exam in several states including New York and California.

Scientific research techniques and methods are a also taught as the Public Law Master’s Program requires a thesis.
