Faculty of Law - Dean's Message

“We raise real lawyers as needed in a real state of law.”

Since our establishment in the 2000-2001 academic year, our faculty has been committed to raising qualified young lawyers with comprehensive knowledge of Turkish positive law, comparative law, as well as universal law principles; professionals who speak at least one foreign language fluently.  Our faculty members are experts in their fields and with their efforts, Bahçeşehir University’s Faculty of Law is rising in the ranks among Türkiye’s most prestigious educational institutions and aims to achieve the same success globally as a leading authority in Turkish law, international law and comparative law.

We offer a balanced program combining: fundamental compulsory law school courses; elective courses focussing on foreign legal systems and applied laws like virtual court and clinical courses managed by experts; certification programs in areas like intellectual property and patent rights and maritime trade laws; and legal English classes.

The curriculum at Bahçeşehir University’s Faculty of Law has been designed to incorporate   international law. The faculty has established relationships with law faculties in Europe within the scope of the Erasmus program and exchanges of students and faculty members on a per semester basis are underway.  Our program espouses different legal systems from around the world as we cover them peripherally in our syllabi and we are in the process of establishing agreements with American law schools, incentivizing students to increase their exposure to legal English. Credits earned from affiliate foreign faculties are accepted toward a degree or certificate in our program, thus solidifying our commitment to education in international law. Our students also have the option of furthering their studies at our BAU Berlin Campus.  With all that we offer and our international status, our alumni are readily admitted to master’s and doctoral degree programs of leading law faculties in Europe and America.
