Master’s students who have reached the thesis stage are required to select their thesis advisor via UMIS and obtain approval. Doctoral and master’s students in the thesis stage are required to register for thesis and seminar courses via UMIS each semester.

Elective courses that do not reach the minimum required number of students during the Add/Drop Week will be closed on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 16:00. Graduate students enrolled in these courses must select other courses through UMIS by 16:00 on Friday, October 2, 2026. No elective course selection or registration will be permitted after this deadline, and the system will be closed. Students whose courses are dropped due to course closure will be notified via SMS.

Final deadline for students who have registered for courses during the ADD/DROP week and similar periods to fulfill their financial obligations. Students who do not complete their financial obligations will have their registered courses dropped, and a “no course registration” status will be recorded for that term. Whether assigned by the system or registered by the student, students are responsible for any courses that are not dropped for any reason as of this date. Scholarship students, in particular, are required to carefully monitor their course registrations.

Early final exam dates for students coming to the University through Erasmus, World Exchange, or other exchange programs, and for those who will go abroad within the same programs. Students eligible for these exams must have confirmed their departure and provide official documentation from their host institution. Not all students who will go abroad are eligible; these exams are granted only in cases of academic calendar overlap. A list of eligible students must be submitted to the Office of the President by the International Academic Relations and Programs Office by Friday, 27 November 2026, for forwarding to the relevant units. The departments will inform the listed students of the scheduled exam dates. Students granted early final exam rights must take all their final exams during the early final period and are not permitted to take exams during the regular final exam period.

Completion of payment procedures for students taking Summer School courses in the 2026–2027 Academic Year. Students who fail to fulfill their financial obligations will have their registered courses removed, and their Summer School registrations will be cancelled. Summer School courses with insufficient enrollment will be closed. Students whose courses are removed will not be able to have the deleted courses reassigned after resolving their payment issues after Friday, 25 June 2027.

Courses that do not meet the requirements for being offered during the Summer School and therefore need to be closed will be closed by the Academic Planning Directorate at around 11:00, and students whose courses are dropped will be notified via SMS. Students must check the courses in their system for the final time on Thursday, 24 June 2027. If a course is dropped because it is not offered, the student may select another course through the system on 25 June 2027. Courses that do not meet the requirements but need to remain open will not be counted toward the teaching load, and no payment will be made.
