Beyond Single Receptors: GPCR-RTK Crosstalk as a New Paradigm for Therapeutic Targeting – Insights from the 5-HT2A-EGFR Axis

Beyond Single Receptors: GPCR-RTK Crosstalk as a New Paradigm for Therapeutic Targeting – Insights from the 5-HT2A-EGFR Axis

Intercellular communication plays a central role in understanding disease mechanisms and developing novel therapeutic strategies. This session focused on the mechanisms of crosstalk between G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), highlighting their potential as promising therapeutic targets.

Particular emphasis was placed on the 5-HT2A–EGFR axis, examining how receptor–receptor communication influences cellular signal transduction, cancer biology, and drug discovery, based on current scientific evidence.

Bringing together researchers from the fields of molecular biology, pharmacology, oncology, and translational medicine, this session aims to share innovative perspectives that may contribute to shaping the next generation of therapeutic approaches.
