Dear Students,
At Bahcesehir University, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Departments of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Environmental Design and Industrial Design, which we build a vision of an interdisciplinary integrated education system that will be at the centre of education nowadays and in the future, we offer our students a quality vocational education in different scales ranging from city to product.
An integrated understanding of education which extends beyond the curriculum supported by national and international technical visits, seminars, interviews, conferences, vocational and artistic exhibition activities, aims to contribute to the cultural and intellectual levels of our students as well as supporting their professional processes. Exchange programs with Berlin International University of Applied Sciences, International summer/winter workshops held annually in Japan, Spain, Austria and Italy, and our Erasmus / World Exchange programs are some of the important educational activities in this regard.
The location advantage of our campus, which is close to ever place in Istanbul/Besiktas/Yildiz, supports processing of history and theory courses from a contextual aspect, while inspiring the development of project topics focusing on the needs and problems of the city in the design studio courses. BAU Faculty of Architecture and Design attach importance to offer sectorial experience opportunity integrated into the curriculum in the early educational period of the students with CO-OP model.
By providing education in a rich intercultural interaction environment with many internal students from different countries, the main mission of our faculty is to educate professionals who can integrate with the contemporary world and have professional awareness by being aware of their cultural values, being confident to take responsibility in the globalizing world, being at the centre of technological developments in the sector, adopting universal ethical values.
